Activities:

He/she will organize and lead teams in order to ensure adherence to timelines, methods, and quality of products and business processes in the following areas of application:

  • Project Management
  • Process Improvement

Project Management

The Project Manager will have organizational responsibility for a SPEA product or functional unit.

The job involves leading the delivery from the commercial negotiation and technical feasibility stages through design, development and construction to installation at the customer's end.

He/She will be expected to ensure that the work is completed on time and on schedule by all departments involved.

PM works closely with R&D, Sales and Commercial, Production, Customer Support.

Process Improvement

He/She will be responsible for working alongside one or more SPEA Departments for the purpose of streamlining their processes.

SPEA S.p.A., company worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of testing systems for semiconductors and electronic boards, is looking for a System Engineer The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of machinery for the testing of electronic devices with a multidisciplinary approach to the main machine components whether electronic, electromechanical, mechanical or software working in synergy with the entire design team. The system designer's main task will be to make sure that all components of the machine (electronic, mechanical and software) are consistent with the delivery specifications. The System Engineer will interface with the Product Manager on all aspects of machine design. The candidate will be placed within a group of system engineers coordinated by a System Engineer Team Leader to whom he/she will report for all organizational aspects of his/her work.   Activities:   - Analysis of customer specifications together with the project team and product leader - Selection of electrical, electronic, electromechanical components - Budgetary evaluation of machine component costs - Collaboration with the mechanical team on the integration of various machine components - Collaboration with the software team to define software functionality - Control system sizing (Knowledge of MathCad and/or Simulink required) - Electrical panel sizing and wiring - Electrical schematic design - Organization and creation of the bill of materials and control of related costs according to the budget - Drafting the technical file - Drafting requirements for technical operation and maintenance manuals - Definition of requirements for testing and diagnostics - Supervision during assembly and first product validation     Requirements:   - Degree in mechatronic or electronic engineering - Good knowledge of written and spoken English - Basic skills in mechanics, pneumatics, electromechanics - Knowledge of electronics, component and PCB design and sizing - Knowledge of motion control systems and their component elements (control, drivers, motors) - Knowledge of Matlab and Symulink simulation systems - Knowledge of major electrical/electronic drafting packages (Eplan Suite, Orcad, Mentor) - Knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D and 2D drawing - Any skills in computer vision and robotics appreciated - Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad - Predisposition to teamwork and problem solving

Testability Analysis - Understand and communicate to team members the customer's testing needs - Analyze the specifications of the components to be tested, finding the best match with hardware specs and software features to build-up a complete Testability Report - Estimate resources and time required to develop the test application, collaborating with the project manager during the project execution to match the expected delivery date. 2. Hardware & Test Program Design - Design the interconnection hardware between the tester and the device to be tested, both for wafer test (EWS) and final test (FT) - Develop test programs, using SPEA systems operating software and programming instructions 3. Debug & Troubleshooting - Debug the interconnection hardware and Test Program verifying their proper operations and adherence to initial specifications - Verify the Test Application produced test data compliant with the customer requirements though statistical data processing - Final validation of the application at the customer's production site and related start-up - Customer point of contact for all Engineering Support activities and follow-up in production   Requirements: - Master Degree in Electronics Engineering - Knowledge of C / C ++ programming language - Knowledge and use of multi-meter, oscilloscope, function generator  - Electrical schematics and PCB design skills - Troubleshooting mindset  - Good knowledge of spoken and written English - Willingness to intercontinetal travel - Strong attitude for team work, interpersonal and problem solving skills - Knowledge of broadband analog/digital circuits - Knowledge of signal integrity (S-parameter, insertion loss, impedance) - Knowledge of Electromagnetic fields
